"The majority of steelhead have finished the spawning process and headed back to Lake Ontario. Best bet for remaining steelhead is the lower end of the river — also your best shot at smallmouth bass. Fly fishing: swinging streamers with sinking leaders or dead drifting egg patterns producing steady results. Bottom bouncing or float fishing: egg sacs, beads, and pink worms all working."
